My father worked at Bell Aircraft during the World War II years as the head of Industrial Relations. These photos are from his personal collection. They include great photos of Larry Bell with Roosevelt and Truman. Also, you will find the famous actress Gloria Swanson sitting at Larry Bell's desk, Vaughn Bell (Larry's brother), Mary Anderson (Woman's Bureau), B29s at the Bell Georgia plant, the P59 (first jet), and a photo of Larry Bell's desk lamp (honoring thirty years in aviation 1912 - 1942). Note the Truman photo with Larry Bell and the first Bell helicopter. The two watercolors are of P39s in Russia. |
